I pushed open the old wooden door excited to see what was inside. My friends and I went to check out the old underground bunker underneath the school. We all walk into the bunker and find the light switch. You won’t believe what we saw it was covered in old army equipment. We all scream in shock.

“This must have been hear for ages.” said one of my friends.

We start looking around until I notice a  letter. I start reading, the date was from 1915, world war 1. I put it down and went to get my friends. I came back.

“But Where did it go?” I shouted

In literacy we made our own books in partners based on a book we read called silver buttons. We started our book with a green leaf slowly falling to the ground, then we based it on things that went further out from the school.

One of the first thing we did at the start of the year was make our own tray labels. We had to measure out the size of the tray label we wanted from the paper and then we had to write down the measurements into our maths book. After we got to decorate our tray labels. Another thing we did in maths was numeracy ninjas were each day we have 30 questions we have to see if we can all answer in 5 minutes. Then with the answers we can then see what belt were on.

In Art we looked at artwork by Andria Beighton, we then made collages with symmetry, flowers, and a vase with a shadow.

In Literacy Mrs Pratt read us a book called silver buttons. We had to then highlight Nouns groups, verb groups, and adverbials from a text from part of the book.

In Hass with Miss Dieu we looked Australia and how it as changed over the years since 1788.

With Ms Sutherland we have been looking at the human body in Maths, Science, and art. In Maths we looked at our fingerprints. In Science we looked at the different parts of the human body. Last of all we are making skeleton art pieces and using negative and positive numbers.

With Mrs Gilmore in the skipping team, on Monday and Friday afternoons we have been practicing our skills so we are ready for upcoming schools.
